Our club is proud to be recognized as Rotary Rockstars for Public Image by District 5840.  Big thanks to Diana Anzollitto and Leigh Owen for doing such a great job sharing our club stories!

Rotary District Governor that is.  Dwayne F. Hopkins, who is also the executive Director/CEO for Fisher House, was in the house of Boerne Rotary Club today.  After breaking bread with us and spending some time getting to know our membership, he spoke of his Rotary moment.  Usually this is a personal event which has touched their heart so closely and was because of Rotary people in their life. Dwayne had a very moving story to share.
Boerne Rotary Club was blessed today by a visit from Sister Bernadine from the Monastery of the Sisters of the Benedictine, right here in Boerne.  We started our Friday club meeting with a wonderful prayer led by Sister Bernadine. Later on she gave us a very informative history of the local group and all of their ministries over the years.  Quite impressive.
Cindy Sullivan (center), from the Alamo College, came to our lunch today so our club could learn all about the new plans for a new campus just over the county line.  This new campus will be much closer for Boerne students who would like to continue their education with an AA degree or to transfer to other 4 years colleges or universities.
What's a Bitcoin you ask? Well our club invited Katy Green from Frost Bank who gave an introductory speech on Crypto Currency.  Our club had lots of questions.
Rick Goodrich discussed with our club how Boerne School Districk works proactively to protect our kids.

Connie Padgett from the Hill Country Mission for Health was our guest speaker today. There about 8,000 lower income residence of Kendall County who do not have access to proper medical care. Mission of Health helps fill this gap.  Completely funded by private donation, grants and fund raising, they are currently having a fund raising effort by selling raffle tickets and asking for volunteers.
