Anna hopes that through the exchange program she will gain a better command of English, which she says is essential to be successful, particularly in her chosen career field of advertising and visual communications.

Anna has a love of travel, and this will not be her first trip to North America.  In 2004 she spent one month in Quebec.  Other previous destinations of Anna's include England, Switzerland, and Germany.

Her hometown of La Rochelle is located on the western coast of France, and is famous for its history and architecture.  With a population of about 80,000, its major economic activities include tourism, foods, chemistry and train (TGV) manufacturing.  See the Wikipedia article on La Rochelle here.

Anna's favorite colors, she reports, are violet and green.  She says her favorite foods are fish, vegetables and fruits.

"Looks like our fish consumption is about to be on the rise," said Mark Figart, who, along with his wife Lori, will host Anna for the first few months of her year-long residence in Boerne.
